It’s Friday…Look at These Friggin Trees.

June 25, 2010

I love trees. And yes, I would marry them. Here are some of my favorite big ol’ white-flowering beauties that thrive in the Chicago area.

Aesculus hippocastanum, the Horse Chestnut. (Known for its homeopathic qualities and for allowing Design Assistants to say "Whoores" in a sneaky way while site measuring with senior management.)

Thanks to Sylvia at http://www.kernoweb.myby.co.uk/snapshots/flora-trees1.htm for these Horse Chestnut shots.

Catalpa speciosa, Catalpa. (Known for making me fall in love with it and smelling really good.)

Tilia cordata, the Linden. (Holy fragrance, Batman. This is a scratch n' sniff screen image, go ahead, really...)

Check out the image links, there’s some interesting snooping there. Happy FREITAG!
