It’s Friday…Look at These Friggin Free Eats in Chicago
It’s Friday!!! Did you know it? Time to eat and eat and drink and drink and dance and sleep in!
All that eating and drinking and sleeping can really take a toll on the old wallet, so I will share today some of my favorite places in Chicago to eat for free. Or pretty much free.
No. 1) Sunday nights at the Gallery Caberet. I would have inserted a link to the Gallery’s own website here, but it seems to be down.
Sunday night features Open Mic Night and free food at the front of the bar. I've seen everything from pizza to potluck style salads to corned beef and hash (on St. Patty's day, obviously).
No. 2) Re-Thinking Soup on Tuesdays, noon – 1:00 pm at the Hull House on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The coffee room at Hull House. Re-Thinking Soup offers free lunch and the opportunity to listen to speakers on a variety of topics. Super friendly and interesting crowd!
No. 3) Tropi-Cuba. At $2.85, a (filling) serving of rice and their delicious pulled pork is practically free.

Frequent Tropi Cuba also for their cafe con leche and friendly staff.
Happy, happy Friday and B-O-N A-P-P-E-T-I-T!!!
